HOW TO GET THE MOST FROM YOUR MASSAGE SESSION:
- Be as receptive and open to the process as possible.
- Don't eat just before a massage session. After your massage, drink extra water and allow time for open, quiet reflection.
- Be on time so that you don’t arrive in a frenzied, rushed state. Please let me know in advance if you need to cancel.
- Remember that only the areas of the body being worked on will be uncovered at a time ~ the rest of the body is covered with a sheet. Your modesty and comfort is of utmost importance. Towel draping is an available alternative to sheet draping for Swedish Massage, Hot Stone Massage and Myofascial Release.
- If you do not want to remove all your clothing, wear clothing that you will be comfortable wearing during the massage and that will allow me to touch and move the areas of your body you expect to have worked on.
- Please give me accurate health information. Don’t be afraid to discuss any concerns you may have. It is important to be as comfortable as possible during your massage. I am a professional dedicated to help you feel at ease.
- Good communication is important. Before the session, please let me know what your needs are. During the session, feel free to report any discomfort, whether it is from the massage, room temperature, music volume, lighting, etc.
- Breathing helps to facilitate relaxation. If you realize you are holding your breath, let yourself breathe slowly and deeply.
Massage has its greatest benefits over time. The more often you get a massage, the better you will feel and the quicker your body will respond. From one session to the next, relaxation deepens as the chronic patterns of stress are affected and released. ENJOY!
